House System

All students are assigned to four different houses represented by colours:

 Tiger – Red House
The scientific name for the tiger is ‘Panthera tigris’. The tiger is the largest wild cat species in the world. Tigers are easily recognised for their reddish-brown coats and large vertical stripes that are unique to each individual. It is an apex predator and a solitary animal. Tigers are heavily endangered with only 3900 wild tigers in the world today. The Bengal tiger is the national animal of India.
Tigers are determined, powerful and confident.

 Leopard – Green House
The scientific name for the leopard is ‘Panthera pardus’. Leopards have a light-coloured coat with black spots knows as rosettes, which are unique to each individual. Leopards are solitary animals. They have retractable claws and are well-adapted to climbing trees and surviving in a wide range of habitats.
Leopards are adaptable, opportunistic and resilient.

Lion – Yellow House
The scientific name for a lion is ‘Panthera Leo’. Lions have a golden-coloured coat, and the males are distinguished by their manes. Lions are apex predators. They are the only wild cats which are social animals that live together in groups called prides, hunting together, raising cubs and sharing meals. Lion prides can range from 3 to 40 members.
Lions are strong, loyal and fearless.

Cheetah – Blue House
The scientific name for a cheetah is ‘Acinonyx Jubatus’. Cheetahs have light-coloured coats with black spots which are unique to each individual. Cheetahs have very good eyesight enabling them to hunt prey. The cheetah is the fastest land animal in the world, reaching speeds of up to 120 km/h.
Cheetahs are focused, agile and courageous.
